It's not quite as easy as it appears. The problem is getting enough clearance to get the rear yoke out; the driveshaft gets in the way. I did it as you described (exhaust and mount), plus removed the frame rail tie bar at the back of the sump. this allowed lowering the back of the trans enough to slide the driveshaft's front yoke assmebly off by passing it over the top of the ouput flange. *now* you can get the output flange off and out.
