RE: GM-transmission

     Hi Gunnar,
     
     My criticism of the BW-66 transmission is simply that it's weak 
     in such a heavy car.  My '84 XJ6 is on it's 3rd transmission (the 
     POs had a rebuilt put in by the dealer at 65K miles), and I just 
     put a used one in that's working fine - but I'm going to go easy 
     on this trans.  If I keep the car, I'll put an auxillary cooler 
     on it.
     
     I'll admit that the fairly frequent criticism of the BW66 in the 
     press doesn't boost it's image in my mind......
     
     Glad to hear yours is working fine (did you do anything to it 
     while it was out during your car's rebuild?).
