The 2011 Jag-lovers Fundraiser If Jag-lovers were a car, it would be about to undergo a complete nuts and bolts restoration, as well as a not-so-subtle upgrade, bringing it squarely into the 21st century. We're building a shiny new web site: Fast, modern and easy to use, containing all the great Jaguar information we've collected over the decades. In addition, we intend to bring you more Jaguar news and an enhanced community portal. In order to do this, and to keep Jag-lovers humming along in the months and years to come, we need your help. Please donate what you can, all contributions are gratefully accepted. How to Donate: Donating is as easy as clicking the PayPal button and deciding on an amount. You don't need a PayPal account, all you need is a credit card:(*) Benefits: How soon the new site is ready to open depends in part on how much money we're able to raise in this fundraiser, so please be generous! Please note, access to the site and the Forums will always be free! The benefits listed below are in addition to site access, which is and will remain free. Everyone who donates at least $25 on or after September 29, 2011 will get a full year's personal paid membership on the new site when it opens. Until then, you'll get the usual recognition on the old site while that's still in operation, of course. If you donate $50 or more, in addition to the above you'll get special early access to the new site when it's ready for testing, and before it's opened to the general public. You'll also get special "Early Bird" recognition on the new site for one year. If you donate $100 or more, in addition to both of the above, you'll get the spotlight on our new home page (when it's ready) as a featured donor, for one full day. Your (or a family member's) name and a headshot or a picture of your car (maximum 100 x 100 pixels) will be shown, and made a link to a non-commercial Jaguar (or other car) related page of your choosing. (Please note that we reserve the right to deny at our discretion any name, picture or link that might be considered offensive, obscene or unlawful. No commercial advertising. Dates for publication will be chosen by us and allocated as the donations come in, but please let us know if you'd like to feature on a particular day, for example a birthday or an anniversary date. Certain blackout dates apply.) Commercial vendors who are interested in donating $1,000 or more should get in touch with us for special recognition on our site. We will consider featuring one especially generous donor for the full week of the official opening of our new site, please get in touch with your suggestions. (Unfortunately, donations to Jag-lovers are not tax exempt. We're only looking for cash donations, no in-kind proposals, please.) Testimonials: This is a great time of year to consider a gift to the best piece of the Internet - Jag Lovers. I've sent my donation in and I hope many others do the same. I regard this List as a cyber-club, as I imagine many of the others do, too. I would welcome a periodic e-mail, reminding we members of the need to fund the List, with the suggestion to fork over $20 or so - rather like dues I've willingly donated to support what is the very best of the Internet - come on chaps, 'Your Site Needs You!' I am disabled and on a fixed income trying to get my xj on the road. If it where not for the members and founders of this great group I would not have had access to all the knowledge and experience and help made available to me in repairing my Jaguar.
