Members' Cars - Wayne PhearsAlmost certainly the most famous of these models was the SS100 (correctly referred to as the SS Jaguar 100). Here are some pictures of 'Patience', Chassis No 18011 and thus the 11th SS100 ever produced. Wayne Phears, her Jag-lovers owner, drives her regularly. Wayne quotes the history he has been able to glean so far:"Patience left the factory in May of 1936 and was registered that same month by London C.C. as CXO789. Her first owner was G.M. Turner. In 1952, James and Donald Gill exported her to Princeton, New Jersey where James Gill was attending Princeton University. Shortly after that Mr. Alfred Parsons purchased Patience and owned her for over forty years until his death. Patience was then sold to her present owner in 1998. "According to the SS Jaguar 100 Register, Patience is the oldest SS 100 outside the UK that still has its original running gear. Currently the dash is incorrect as it should be body colour of course! "If anyone has further data on Patience's history I'd be very grateful.";
