[xj-s] Remote oil filter and cooler

I'm installing the remote oil filter kit in my other (fast) British car, but while cursing at the oil filter on the XJS during a recent oil change, I looked to see if my remote adapter plate would fit.

I came to the conclusion that it probably would fit as the kit includes threaded nipple adapters, but the 2 hoses would be too exposed and vulnerable. Attempting to decrease the radius of the bend would cause them to kink. Yes, some custom hoses or pipes could be made, but at what cost? Where would you mount the bracket and filter?

The double filter is more than twice the width. I believe they flow in series. Fram makes a 15 micron filter. The remote bracket uses PH8-A or the equivalent filter. The kit is in the Summit Racing catalog for US$37 for the single filter kit.
I can fit the engine adapter using a Jag filter as a test pad, if you'd like.

Oil cooler adapter: This adapter plate screws on, in place of the filter, then the filter screws onto the adapter. The 2 hydraulic 90 degree angle fittings w/hose, screw into the >SIDE< of this plate. There is no room on the Jag for this configuration (on the '86). On the Lotus, the heat exchanger is not in the radiator fan path. It's cooled by ram air effect when the car is in motion.
I have in-situ jpeg's of this one if you want to see how it is configured. E-mail me and I'll send 'em to whomever is interested.
