Shouldn't be possible if your ignition cylinder is working proper (you can
turn it over to start ONCE, then you have to turn it clear to OFF in order
to turn it to start again).  Beyond that, there is the starter relay
(mounted inside the engine compartment on the passenger side fender) which
should keep the starter from engaging if the engine is running.

These two mechanisms were no doubt put into place to eliminate the problem
of hitting the starter while the engine is running.
