[xj-s] RE:Joe D. Ferguson Questions Of Many

Joe, I think that most likely your speedometer problems is due to the
transducer on the transmission is on the way out. Get one from your dealer or
other source (catalog or places like hdrogers.com). Does not take too long to
replace. Been there, done that.

I think tach delay is normal but I only notice it lasts maybe 5 seconds on my
88. With how quiet the can can be, you may try and start the car when it is
already running. A mistake you only make once or twice when you first have
it.

Also if after you park the car, shut down, try & start later & nothing
happens, make sure you have the shifter lever in P. Been there, done that.

The other items you may get better responce from others and "The Book" to help
in your trouble shooting.

I do not think they are all realted to one item. (ECU) The car has many
diffrent systems & computers. There can be several non computer related
problems that could cause your serging/dying engine for example.
