I wouldn't even try to stop any particles that would fit through the tubes. Offhand, I was thinking of a screen with perhaps 1/16" mesh, maybe even larger. If radiators are plugged by SMALLER particles that somehow get together to plug tubes that they cannot plug individually, then the screen wouldn't do any good. > You would need to be catching this fine material, ( > before it klags up) and filters that can do this have a very low capacity. Well, now, that all depends on the size of the filter. But I wouldn't be looking to install something larger than an oil filter in here, so I wouldn't be considering anything that fine. > Your filter would be solid > before you knew it... IOW, there's a LOT of crud in these circuits? Frankly, I would have hoped that once the majority was caught by the screens (and cleaned out shortly after installation), then the circuit would be largely clean and very little additional crud would accumulate. Especially when coolant changes involve distilled water and no Barr's Leaks. -- Kirbert | If anything is to be accomplished, | some rules must be broken. | - Palm's Postulate References:
