The kind of krud that builds up in radiators is usually VERY fine ( until it agglomerates into the pseudo concrete that we all know and love). You would need to be catching this fine material, ( before it klags up) and filters that can do this have a very low capacity. If the primary krud was in the sub 150 micron range ( which is not all that unlikely) then we are looking at a capacity in the order of a couple of hundred milligrams per square centimetre, if you want to keep the pressure drop across the filter down to about half a bar. Your filter would be solid before you knew it, and as the rise in Dp tends to go exponential above .5 bar.............. Just my $3000 worth Follow-Ups:
