You may need a compressor to put the valves back in but you dont need one
to take them out.
Put the head on a piece of cardboard so protect it from damage and put a
rolled up shop cloth under the valve you want to work on. Get a 15 or 17
mm deep socket (so you can get a grip on it), hold it on the retainer and
strike it with a hammer. That will pop the two suckers out. You dont even
need safety glasses even though it wouldnt hurt either.

While you are working on the disassembled head, it will give you a day or
two to round up a compressor. Of course, I have never tried this on a Jag
head but it works fine on Hondas, VW Jetta and Alfas. No reason it
wouldn't work on the Jag
