As long as you're under there, I'd recommend removing the adjuster rod (as Mr. Littlefield has suggested here), and chase the threads (of you don't have a threading tool, then pull out a stainless steel brush and scrub it), which will simplify adjustments later on (including when you reinstall). This lower adjuster is likely to have road grime and a bit of (Jaguar) oil on it.
