I second this; fuel pump was buzzing like crazy when first purchased the car 6 months ago, now it has lost most of its buzz but works great. 91 XJ-S Classic conv You have nothing to lose but loss itself...anonymous ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Tue, 30 Jun 1998 12:55:44 -0500 From: jim wood <jasewood@juno.com> To: xj-s@jag-lovers.org Subject: "Michael W. Hahne" <mhahne@aps.anl.gov>: [xj-s] Fuel Fuel Pump(?) noise ... It Ain't dying - it's Workin'! Mine has done the same thing for over a year and runs like - great. Jim Wood ***** Hope this hasn't been posted to death lately! I recently have a noise coming from the rear of my '94 XJ12. It sounds like an electrical buzzing - I am supposing it's the fuel pump dying on me. The sound comes from in front of the trunk, and is loudest in the rear seat. Any of you encounter this problem? If it is the fuel pump, how tough/expensive a job is it? The car is under warranty, it's just a bitch getting it to the dealer. Car's still running fine-for how long? Thanks!
