Source: Australian Jaguar Magazine ed 69 (published before XK8 release) Engine: V8 all alloy Capacity: 4L Valves: 32 Cams: quad, variable inlet cam phasing Weight: 200 kg (440lb) Power: 290 bhp (216kW), 72.5 bhp/L Torque: 80% of peak between 1400 and 6400 rpm Manufactured by Jag facility in the Ford Engine Plant, Bridgend, South Wales Final dress and installation into cars at Brown Lane, Coventry A few quotes from the article: "The AJ-V8 facility was planned and implemented ... teams ... comprising engineering from Jaguar and Ford ..." "The AJ-V8 team blended Jaguar's experience of medium-volume ... with Ford's expertise in high high-volume production and project management to create ..." Well there you have it girls and boys... we present to you for you driving pleasure XK8 by Jaguar powered by Ford (or should we say Jagford V8). I am not sure about this since we tend to prefer Chevy V8 in our Jags.
