[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Cell phone mounting "results"
Thanks to all that responded. I am indeed going to remove the driver side ashtray (pretty easy as I left the screws out the last time I was circuit tracing). Making a black plastic plate to hold the cell phone cradle (it is not a portable). Transmitter will go inside the console. Radio Shack had a cord extender that gets me another 3' of handset cord to play with, so the cord will come out the plate from the radio. Usual glassmount antenna, have to reglue the headliner (thanks for the info on another post about 3M adhesive) so will feed the antenna wire inside the edge of the liner lip and down the mid door pillar to the center console. Hands free mike will go up driver front door pillar and be mounted just beside the visor, up nice and high, and hopefully nowhere near any wind leak noise... Tom, who really didn't need another cell phone, really ...
