Hi Curt, You've probably already ruined the fulcrum shaft. If you have hit it that hard with a sledge, the threads are probably mushroomed beyond repair. If not, then you can still hit it harder :-). I broke one of mine free by applying heat (torch) and then grabbing the end of it with a *BIG* pipe wrench. Once I turned it a bit (breaking the rust) I was able to drift it out with a sledge. Resorting to this will trash the shaft, but I'm guessing it's already shot.
