My records also do not show any 2B engine number. For the Mark 10 (3.8L) I have JX, ZA, or ZB and for the Mark 10 (4.2L) I have 7D. Lachlan suggested that it may have been a difficult to read 7B which would make it a 3.8 S-type engine (I don't show 7B for Mark 2's). Also, could it be a difficult to read ZB which would indeed be a Mark 10 engine. Check two places - on the block just above the oil filter bracket and (if fitted with proper matching head) on the head between and just behind the cam towers.
