Hi Tom I own a 1990 XJS V12 coupe which I bought 6 months ago. It is in mint condition with low mileage. 1990 was the last year they made the old body style (with the baroque-style taillights and the 5.3 litre V12, 3 speed auto). The younger ones are faster (6 litre V12 and 4 speed automatic) but in my opinion don't look as good. I would suggest looking for a a 88 through 90 model because overall quality and reliability has become better at the end of the eighties (1989 Ford bought Jaguar). If you want the full story, I recommend getting the book JAGUAR XJS A Collector's guide Paul Skilleter ISBN 0-947981-99-3 Hope that helps. If you have questions, just ask. Best regards Cuno
