[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Hot starting problems, end of story
I found the culprit. I took out the bleed valve in the trunk, blew into the outlet, and blew gas all over my beard... The darn thing was nothing more than a small pipe, no valve, not spring, nothing. Went through the shop looking for a ball and spring that might work. Finally came up with a combination. All the time wondering where the original parts might have gone. Took the little hose off that connects the valve to the fuel supply line and guess what fell out, the little valve and spring. Rebuilt it, put it back, and it holds about 10 psi in the rail. Starts fine (now I probably have a set of leaking injectors <grin>). BTW, Jaguar has no number for this little thingee. I guess it never fails. Let the Lions loose, me and the kitty are ready to fight them all! Tom, who because he knows the beast, is just waiting for the next challenge! Follow-Ups:
