Dejavu,doors self latching unexpectantly

Hi from Tx
Last week I had a day off and went to Dallas in search of salvage
parts for my 85 XJ6.After roaming a few yards in bitter cold for Tx
about 20 degs.F and finding the odds and ends needed. I decided to stop
for a beer on the way out of town. The conversation of course got around
to the jag and this guy wanted to see the engine work I'd done.Went out,
started car,shut door,opened hood,admired my own handy work,shut hood,
then heard the sickining sound of all doors latching!Oh what fun, know
what you mean by that jag feeling,#$$%^^%$.After borrowing coat hanger
from bar and having no luck myself and turning done alot of offered
help, finally called locksmith. Then called wife to explain why I was
running so late. She had to admit this excuse was so ridiculous it had to
be true.Just wanted to let you know you are not the only one with this
kind of luck.By the way wife got a big kick out of seeing your posting.
                         Best of luck
                              Sean
