     John (and all),
     
     The trip computer gathers it's information from the ECU.  I'll do 
     some investigation on this, but the data interchange between the 
     two is all digital and thus would be complicated to recalibrate.
     
     Mine seems pretty accurate.  The tires are a little less tall 
     than stock, so everything is skewed a bit (the trip computer, as 
     the speedo, only know how many times the wheels go around, not 
     how far the car has really gone).
     
     Anyway, I'll do some checking on this late tonight.
