[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] hello and . . .
I'm new to the list - and delighted to find such a resource. I live in San Diego CA, USA - have been lusting after an E type since forever - finally bought a 69 roadster. I pick it up tomorrow!!! Wimbleton white with red connoly leather. Such delicious anticipation. This will be a driver - just a fun car - so keep that in mind as I ask questions. A few questions - all very elementary I'm sure: What size and style were the original tires? I've heard everything from 185 70 15 to 195 70 15; white wall, red stripe. And having asked what is "original" - then I'd like to know what works best? Second - the car has factory air - operational. I'm kind of thinking of removing it (for my taste it clutters the look of the cockpit and adds perhaps a bit too much weight up front). I'm wondering - is removal advisable? Easy, hard, a waste of time . . .? Then of course I'd need a new center console/radio section because the one in the car is shorter to allow room for the AC. Are such items easy to find, install etc? Suggestions as to a source? Undoubtedly many more questions will follow. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
