My car ('89) has a "working" low coolant indicator. The only thing is that it is inconsistent about how low the coolant level should be before it comes on. Has anyone else noticed the same phenomenon? BTW, to state the obvious for those who need to be told: The low coolant light will not come on while driving. It works by having the coolant complete a circuit that will keep the light off. Once you start moving coolant around inside the system, the sensor will be wet, and the light won't come on. This warning device is only of value to people who pay attention to the condition of their cars on an ongoing basis. Follow-Ups:
