I'm sending this on behalf of someone off-list. He has a 1988 XJS. The trip computer will read normally until he turns his lights on, then the displayed values change considerably. For example, if the instantaneous fuel mileage reading is sitting at 14, it will drop to 6 the instant he turns his lights on. Also, the engine temperature gauge jumps to a much higher reading when he turns his lights on. The trip computer has been replaced with a known functioning unit, as has the temp sender unit. Any ideas? Take care, Greg Price All XJs New & "Owner tested" Jaguar parts 1-888-JAG-BITS http://jagbits.com/ Now with secure online ordering!
