All this talk about the 62.5 shift made me go out and try in my1991 XJS. It did not do it. I even tried the manual shift up from 1-2 when I observed the revs approaching 6 K. It just did a mushy shift without any "excitement". Is there something different about the 1991 that prevents this adolescent pleasure, or might there be a problem with my tranny?
