Doug,

Your motor may be shot.  I had to replace mine.  The new ones are damned
expensive!  I had Terry's Jaguar in Illinois rebuild it for me.  Not many will
rebuilt such a small motor.  Terry's did it for a fraction of the cost of a
new one.  Be sure and check all your power up to the motor before you have it
rebuilt.  For example, did you check the inline fuse near the motor and make
sure all connections are good?  Mine's working great now.  Good luck to you.
