Might be an acceptable The Army and I'm sure others have used similar screens for years. For example, the long flexible spout used on 5 gallon gas cans has one that screws into the end. The screens are shaped conically, to present the greatest possible surface area. It should work AS LONG AS you remember to check 'em out and clean 'em regularly: right away after the rebuild, and on an increasing frequency after that. Otherwise, do the valve seat replacement again! If this were being designed robustly, you would sense pressure on both sides of the screen and flash an alert if the differential pressure was outside some expected value. John References:
