The Jaguar manuals state that when removing the steering rack control valve and pinion, the position of the recess on the pinion should be noted for for reference when refitting. Does anyone know which way the factory had them pointing with the rack centred? I know it is not a big issue, but I am reassembling an E-type rack, and would rather get it correct if I can. regards, Mike References:
