>Some parts, such as valve bodies, governors and vacuum modulators are >specific to individual transmission calibrations. The Jaguar V12 application >is the only application listed with the ZV calibration code. Something that is related to this that I never got posted a few weeks ago. Those that were talking about alternate lower gears for the 400 need to be aware of one thing. The transmission is tuned to shift fairly close to the V-12 redline at WOT. the trans picks it's shift points based on governor pressure. This is a direct measurement of driveshaft speed. with lower gears, the trans will still want to shift at the same driveshaft speed, which will be a higher engine rpm. >guess that they also replaced one or more of the calibrated parts with non >ZV calibration parts. Does anyone know the specifications (part numbers) for >the ZV calibration? I have Jag numbers for the S parts, and can get GM numbers for GM apps, but I don't know of a way to cross between them. Is your kickdown working? If so, at what engine RPM does it shift during full throttle? From the speeds you post it sounds like about 2500-2800 rpm. If this is right, and the problem is purely wrong parts (not misassembly), then it sounds like you have something for a Chevy 6.2L diesel pickup. >Michael > Randy K.
