[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] XJS surging idle(no subject)
Well I'm trying again, it seems the message got to the board but I got all kinds of strange input from the server as well. I don't know that anyone would take the time to read down and get to my question. I have an 89 XJS that when cold and during warmup when in neutral the idle surges between 700 and 1500 rpm's. I think its a heat sensor, but the man who works on it says its probably the computer. It comes and goes, but seems to disappear when both the ambient temperature and engine temps are warm. Any ideas? Active Dallas JOASW member, and we own a 67 S1 OTS, and and 87 S3 XJ6.
