Curious, Mark 89 XJ-S BTW - Jag recommends 20W-50 for my car (except during extremely cold weather, then 10W-40), and they DO (well, did, since it's expired) threaten to invalidate the warranty if lighter oil was used during warm weather driving. Besides all of that, if I used 10W-30 in the summer I don't think I'd have any pressure! The engine heat would surely drive the oil pressure gauge to near 0 ... it's low enough with the thicker stuff!
