Why?  If you can give the old motor a basic overhaul -- new brushes, properly 
lube the bearings, etc. -- I don't see why it shouldn't last another 160km.  
Or longer -- I'm a little put off they need new brushes that soon!

If you REALLY wanna do a first class job, remove the rotor from the motor and 
skim the commutator on a lathe, then polish it a little.  With wear, the 
arcing tends to erode the areas adjacent to the slots a little faster than 
the broad areas between the slots, leaving an uneven surface that can result 
in accelerated brush wear as well as more noise.  Taking one cut of metal off 
brings it back to as-new condition.
