[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Blower fans, XJ40 style
Hi all, Does anyone know of a reasonable source for the fan motors only, that fit in the Delanair blower boxes on a 1987 XJ40. The motors look like standard two pole 12VDC electric motors. The brushes on mine are worn out, and I beleive it would be better to replace the whole motor (car has 160KM on it). I just don't want to buy full blower boxes at Jag prices. Also -- does anyone know why the in-car temperature sensor, located above the glovebox, would have been disconnected and replaced with a similar sensor in the passenger footwell? It looks factory -- or possible early dealer modification. The reason I ask is that the original sensor is still in place - just disconnected. The wire that previously connected to it is now connected to this lower sensor. Mike Everatt 1987 XJ40 Follow-Ups:
