One of the options then was a 6.0 litre engine. They did 6.2 and 6.4 as well, maybe a 6.7 not sure. > When Jaguar Sport officially started producing the XJR-S in 1988 only a 5.3 litre engine was available. Yes, most of these can be identified by the 15" "bottletop" wheels. > It was not until mid-89 that the 6.0 litre was introduced as standard. I have some sales data (from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage trust) 1988 96 5.3L cars were made. 1989 206 5.3L cars and only 66 6.0L cars were made. ( a lot of 6.0L badges were sold!). 1990 5 5.3L cars and 248 6.0L cars were made 1991 123 6.0L cars up to October. There seems to be a secret over the sales figures for the improved facelifted version (now 338 bhp with catalysts) Victor Naumann teles me 100 coupes and 100 convertibles were exported to USA in 1993. This could explain why I have never seen one of these in the UK. > This was then discontinued in 1993 as by then the standard XJ-S now had a 6.0 litre engine. >> Different engine (don't know what is different) JaguarSport now disbanded. > One day, maybe, I can dream! I know where there is a 7.0L Lister Le Mans for sale 1989 L29,000 :) John Goodman '89 Jaguar Sport XJR-S 6.0L '88 Range Rover '84 VW Camper
