ANTENNA REPAIR

I went to my local Home Depot/Home Base. They didn't carry the larger
diameter string, so I tried a smaller diameter (I think about 0.080 in.)
sensing that it likely would not work well. It didn't. The main problem was
it was stiff enough when coiled into the tight end of the coil guide that it
popped out between the guides and jammed. I think having a material that (a)
is reasonably flexible, (b) is tough enough to stand repeated uncoiling and
coiling, and (c) has an o.d. near 0.125 are all important. The polyethylene
I used met these criteria. I see no reason why grass cutter sting would not
work, but the o.d. needs to be close to 0.125 in.
