mk2 Jaguar

Can anyone help here. I have determined the chassis number is from a RHD2.4,
but the engine number is not a Mk2. Anyone recognise?

Hi,

I am looking for info on a Jaguar mk2 for sale here at the moment. It
is claimed to be a 1960 mk2 3.8. I am rather suspicious as to the
accuracy of its credentials.

The chassis no is 100357.
Engine no is 2B1660-8 ( I beleive this to be the no of a Mark 10
engine)

I think that this car was not an origional 3.8 but probably a 3.4.
No documentation exists for this car and the lables in the engine
compartment have been removed. Its is no longer licenced or on the
road but is in a reasonable restorable condition. I would be very grateful if
you could help me to establish the truth of the matter.

Thanks
John
