Please be careful when dismantling electrical components from cars.
There was a warning in the UK some time ago about some lethal materials
used in these things. My understanding is that they contain something 
similar to transformer oil which can do horrible things to your flesh 
and bones (like making them crumble away).

I'm not sure if throttle pots conatain this material, and if they do 
then its too late for me as I dismantled a Rover one a few years ago ;-)
