XJ40 -- boot leak and carpet need

I have had a frustating leak in the boot of my "88 XJ 40 since I have
owned it (now 11 months). Naturally, the PO insisted that it didn't
leak when HE owned it, but the rust and carpet stains say differently.
Anyway, as you may remember from my previous post I've been given to
crawling into the boot, exploring for light, etc. to the great delight
of my family who now is CERTAIN that the cat has made me certifiably
mad!

My jag mechanic suggested I remove the plastic plate on the outside
above the bumper and build-up around the screw holes, as this is where
they see most of their leaking on XJ 40's. I did that, but as I worked
I knew there must be more. What I found was that the rubber gaskets
around the wiring to the turn lamps and fog lamps on the drivers side
had in one case jimmied loose, and in the other it looks like it was
never there, or disintegrated long, long ago. No light was coming in
as they are covered by the carpet along the back side of the boot. I
reinstalled them and will see in the next drive in the snow, slope,
rain, or car wash (I know only the no-brushes, water-only type!) if all
stays dry now.

Just thought I'd share with the list, as I will now be sure to
periodically check these gaskets to be sure they are in their proper
places.

AH yes, the other purpose of this post.......Does anyone know of a
source for a replacement carpet for the boot. I just need the floor
piece thank goodness, but want to match the original's with its leather
edging, etc.

TIA
