S2 XJ6 wipers, AC and indicators gone mad

Fellow Jag-Lovers

After a splendid 1800 km trip last weekend, I was more in love with
my Jag than ever. Since then, I have put on another 200 km in the
city. It seems that my Jag didn't take to well with the restrictions
of city driving and certain systems went on strike (a popular
past-time in SA nowadays).

The wipers refuse to budge and is currently smack bang in the middle
of my windscreen (try to look elegant with that). The direction
indicators refuse to operate. In fact, if I move the lever to switch
on the right indicator, the right front fog light and tail light
comes on. If I try the left indicators, the dashboard illumination,
left front fog light and tail light comes on. Furthermore the AC
does not switch on anymore. It worked perfectly during the trip. I
do not think that the AC has gone bad, more likely the
whatyoumacallit that switches it on. This with the temperature around
the mid 30s in summer.

Is this the work of the dreaded Lucas, Prince of Darkness? If so, I
have a formiddable opponent. How do I go about to vanquish this
evil? My workshop manual describes how to remove and refit every
component of the car, unfortunately, I have no idea wath the problem
might be. A visual check on the fuses and replacement of the fuses
made no difference. Any help will be appreciated.

She is so beautiful, yet she can be so full of %$#*& at times.

Thanks.
