I am the owner of a 1958 Mk 1 2.4 M/od Saloon    This car had done 63000
miles  from new and is in immaculate unrestored condition.   The car has
no rust and to my knolledge has never had rust.   It still has all of
its original rubbers tools jack fittings etc.

My history with Jaguars goes back 15 years when I bought a 1963 Mk2 3.8
M/od that had more bog than metal but I loved it to bits.   I
subsequently sold this car and bought a 1969 420 (compact) black with
cww and a wabasto roof.  This was a M/od car which is very rare here.  
The engine had been modified and produced in the vicinity of 340 hp and
wqs a lot of fun on the road or track.   I eventully sold the 420 in
order to buy a business after 10 years.   When money became available I
bought the Mk1.   

Whilst I had the 420 I ownes a number of other Jaguars including 3 S
Types (love em) 5 Mk 1's  (3 x 2.4 M/od and 2 3.4 M/od) most of which
were very down.   I completed a mechanical resto of one 3.4 Mk 1 but was
forced to sell it due to financial constraints.

Mk1's are my main passion although I do have a soft spot for the 420's,
a greatly underrated car.

I have been a member of the Jaguar Car Club of Victoria (some 800
members for 14 years serving on the committee for six and serving as
President for 2 years

Also in my stable I have a 1954 A30 Van (Briggs Body) and a 1981 Leyland
Moke, both of which are used for daily travel and business (Newsagency)

My likes include a passion for red wine and good scotch, Star Trek,
racing motorcars and exploring the outback in my moke.   I am married
with 3 children, the eldes of which, Matthew 10 years, is trying to talk
me into buying and restoring a Mk1 Sprite.

I am new on the internet and the first order of business was to contact
this organisation and i believe I have some experiences and knolledge
that may add to your store
