[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] buying a daily driver
Hi- I'm new to the list. looking for a late series III XJ6, or perhaps an XJS. Currently the owner of a '69 TR6(since 1986), so I'm not unfamiliar with British car quirks. People said I was crazy to buy the Triumph, but I haven't had any bad experiences with it; in fact it's been a wonderful, reliable car. Still, I can't help being a little apprehensive about the prospect of a much more complex Jaguar, especially (gasp!)a V12. I've heard so many horror stories and it's hard to separate fact from fiction. (i.e., you have to remove the engine from it's mounts to change the last two spark plugs, etc. etc.) Is there anyone out there with any advice and/or recommendations? I live on Long Island, New York. thanks in advance- jb Follow-Ups:
