[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] To (dichromate) wash, or not to (dichromate) wash? That is my Question.
Can anyone help identify which parts on a series 3 E-Type V-12 engine that were cad plated without the yellow dichromate wash, and those that were cad plated with the yellow dichromate wash? I believe all nuts, studs, bolts, spacers, clips, retainers, and washers had the yellow dichromate finish. What about the AIR delivery rails (3 pieces), gulp valve intake and delivery rails (2 pieces), fuel rail (1 piece), EGR rails (3 pieces), distributor vacuum line (1 piece), and carbon canister rail (1 piece)? Cad plated yes, but did they originally have the dichromate wash? Also, what about the throttle linkage brackets (1 each at the rear of the intake manifolds and 1 under the central turn-table), the throttle linkage rods (4 pieces, including end fittings)?
