Is this worth investigating? The first thing you should be investigating is exactly why the idle is rough to begin with. I am pretty skeptical of the head milling theory, unless perhaps the PO had one head milled and left the other one original. If that is the problem, then fix that first. See if you can find a mechanic with a good reputation with Jaguars in your area and seek a second opinion on the cause of your rough idle.
