Hi folks,
When I rebuilt the slave cyl. I noticed
that the actuating rod had been repaired by brazing. I ordered a new rod
and while fitting it I noticed that the old rod was 4 1/8" long. This
is about 1 " longer than the replacement Brit Auto sent me.
so I fitted the new rod and only then did I ask
myself, somebody went to all the trouble to braze this thing and make it longer,
what did they know that I don't?
Anyone know the purpose of this lengthening this
rod?
did Brit auto send me the right
rod?
Is this some kind of an old timer's performance
trick? (the clutch on my car catches quite near the floor-every otherjag
I've driven has the clutch catching so far up the top of pedal travel I find it
dificult to drive them)
What say you all?
TIA
Bill B
