Battery CablesAnyone know where I can find a set of XK150(S) Battery cables for a reasonable amount of $? (XK Unlimited has 3 of the 4 for over $200 (US)! I am also in need of a set of 150S Fuel pump hoses, especially the one that goes between the 2 pumps (Tried Tracy/Moss/XKs/Special Int) Any other ideas???? thanks in advance - David Drenzek David, Try East Coast Jaguar, Inc. 302-475-7200, Fax 302-475-9258, I have had good service and most items have been quoted for less than the companies you listed. - Regards, Skip Smith David: Try Rhode Island Wiring for your battery cables. A slightly dated catalog lists the 3 cables for under $100. Their address is: PO Box 3737, Peace Dale, RI 02883 Phone: 800-777-4947 - Dick Cavicke If you're building a 100 pt restoration, this may not help much, but the battery cables I have seen on my Jags are just plain battery cables. You can buy the parts (the lead end pieces that connect to the cables, and the cable itself) at NAPA or any other well stocked auto parts store, and build the cables yourself very easily. This should not cost more than about $30. Or you could measure out the lengths you need and get almost any auto shop to build them for you. Battery cables are not rocket science, however, and you should be able to make them yourself. - Jag150S As a suggestion for 150S battery cables, I'd also inquire from Rhode Island Wiring Serivce (800 241 1955). Pricey but correct. If you want to budget, buy loose cable (NAPA, etc.) and add clamps. Regarding 150S fuel pump hoses, if you have your fittings try a local industrial hydraulics/hose supplier (Yellow Pages) and have them build new ones. Before reproductions of various brake and fuel hoses were available, I developed a rapport with a local hydraulics shop who built needed hoses and lines for me. - Good luck. Bob Oates
