1. Vintage Air, 10305 I-35 North San Antonio, TX 78233 are experts in fitting A/C to older cars.

2. The book "How to air condition your car" contains much useful information. (Motorbooks International, ISBN 0-87938-765-3)

3. X-K's Unlimited, San Loius Obispo, Ca, USA have fitted A/C to Mark 2 Jags, which involves similar problems to the XK series.

4. The very small all-electric heat pump fitted by GM to their new electic cars may be useful when available second hand for both heating and cooling.

5. It may be necessary to fit an aluminium radiator.

6. "Predator Performance (Largo, Florida) now sell an A/C kit for a Mark 2, which may also fit an XK. The condenser is inside the front fender (not in front of the radiator, to avoid overheating) with its own fan, and the evaporator is small.
