Adding Oxygen Sensor Ground

Adding Oxygen Sensor Ground

Alex Cannara

Also, on the O2 sensor, check the resistance from its case to ground on the body, because the path through the exhaust manifold is often poor. You can improve things by adding a ground wire using a stainless hose clamp around the sensor to hold the wire against the sensor. Ground the other end of the wire to a good body point, like the bolt that holds the brake-equalizer (down on the exhaust side fender).
