Attention: First Time Site Visitors! Please visit the below page
before continuing!
In order to better serve our members, we have consolidated reference
materials, technical specifications, interchange guides, and other
resources that the owner or prospective owner of an XJ series car
should have. All the items on this page are free for use; presented
by Jag-Lovers at no charge.
Technical
Information: Capacities, ratings, specifications, the owners'
manuals, the Series III owner's audio cassette, and more.
XJ
FAQ's: Frequently asked questions from the XJ discussion list.
Covers repairs, how-to's, enhancements, and the like.
The XJ-S
Book: Why is there a online book for the XJ-S listed here? The XJ
and XJS share at least 80% parts commonality, more in the case of the
XJ12. The suspension, climate control, and many other major
components are identical. Those that are not identical are very
similar. This is a very large and comprehensive compendium of
technical information and repair procedures; it is updated regularly
by its author, Kirby Palm.
The XJ Bumper To
Bumper Book: While not as exhaustive as the XJ-S volume, this
online book contains great information about the XJ, some of which is
not found elsewhere. Another Jag-Lovers exclusive, written by Jim
Isbell. You will require Adobe
Acrobat to view this document.
JagCare
III: Probably the definitive treatise on how to care for your XJ,
written by Dr. Gregory Andrachuk. Many pictures and detailed
descriptions, as well as excellent advice. You will require Adobe
Acrobat to view this document, and since it is 4.8mb in size we
recommend that you save it to disk and view it offline.
EFI vacuum diagram:
EFI vacuum diagram for the fuel-injected S2 and S3 XJ6. You will
require Adobe Acrobat to view
this document.
The Jag-Lovers
Parts Interchange: Surprisingly, Jaguar sourced many of
their parts from manufacturers like GM, Borg-Warner, Timken, and
others. This free online resource is a searchable database of known
parts that fit, are identical, or will interchange with sometimes
expensive Jaguar-labelled parts.
The
Discussion List Archive: A searchable database of literally
thousands of posts from the past several years of the Jag-Lovers
discussion lists. Anything that's not covered in the above resources
will almost certainly be in these archives. Almost everything about
these cars is known, and this wisdom is stored online for you to
access. To speed your search, we have a customized version of the
general search page here -this will search
only the XJ archives.
