Throttle Body Inlet Radiusing

Kirby Palm suggests machining a radiused inlet into the butterfly housings in his book, and Tom Bennett took that suggestion and acted on it.  He provided the photo below showing the job.

"No before/after data I'm afraid, I have no way to measure such things.  My own impression is that it is a very worthwhile mod, the car is much snappier and picks up well."

For comparison, here's a pic of the OEM inlet -- with the air filter housing bolted to it:

As should be obvious, the radiusing of the throttle body itself must be accompanied with an enlargement of the opening in the air filter housing as well as in the gasket between the two.
