Routine ServicingThe purpose of this section is to answer questions and provide quick-reference information regarding routine servicing of your XJ6/12 Jaguar. The contents are a combination of generally accepted practices and information taken directly from Jaguar technical literature. If you search the archives, however, you will certainly see a wide variety of opinions regarding the details of Jaguar maintenance. Although this section pertains primarily to the Series III cars many of the items apply equally well to earlier models. If you have just purchased a used Jaguar it is STRONGLY recommended that you perform all of the routine services as soon as possible. In most cases you will not know when, if ever, these services were last performed and doing them now will establish a square-one starting point from which future servicing can be based. Addtionally, you'll have opportunity to become more familiar with your Jag and inspect it for upcoming problems. Most importantly, you'll just feel better knowing that your pride and joy has received some sympathetic attention. Click on the items below for information on each topic.
