7.2 - Fluid Replacement ( )

Locate the transmission sump drain plug, undo to allow fluid to drain, then refit.

Undo the transmission sump retaining bolts and carefully lower the sump pan, taking care as it will still contain some fluid. Remove the gasket and clean the mating surfaces with a rag or plastic scraper if necessary.

Carefully clean any metallic swarf from the magnet, and clean thoroughly to ensure no metal is returned into the system.

Undo the torx head bolts holding the filter in place and remove the filter along with itís associated O-ring.

Fit a new O-ring and filter, then refit the sump pan and gasket, tightening the bolts in a diagonal pattern until snug. No need to overtighten. It is not normally necessary to use a new gasket, though some recommend it.

Refill the transmission via the dipstick tube and recheck the fluid level.
